To be fair, though, they are one of the most prestigious agencies in the States. They're super swamped with queries all over.

I agree that it's a clumsy nickname. It always makes me wonder if writers of erotic fiction should be called G-Stringers....

I don't like the word 'pant'. Whether it's the garment or being out of breath, it's quasi-whiffy and pants.

Pan is OK and panther, so long as it isn't roaming nearby and loose, looking for its next dinner.

I must be out of touch - I thought 'pantser' was short for 'by the seat of one's pants' meaning one who did things without planning -- in a writer's case, writing without plotting. What's the meaning you're all using?

When I first heard the term... here, btw... I thought it was Pantzers, as in "Rommel has two but very small..." Then I discovered I R one. Now I'm proud that I have absolutely no guaranteed way of explaining my own peculiar writing process.
