Just a note, it wasn't long ago that Hemmingway was the gold standard for daily word count,and he recommended what he produced, 300.
More importantly: All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know.

On the other hand, Pratchett produced about 3k words a day (mostly at night)...

500 words this morning. Mostly working on the first few scenes based on more great feedback from yesterday's Huddlers: developing voice, creating emotional intimacy with the detective, relatability, sensory detail and setting. I've also read the openings of @MattScho 's recommendation, The Lake in the Woods, and Missing, Presumed to see how the authors engage the reader immediately. I seem to need to work in layers on this section of the story - first a skeleton of events/dialogue, then development of the crime scene in round two, then adding more texture and emotion in round three. Hopefully, it's getting better each time. Thanks to those who are helping me to shape this story xx

Getting back on track - Up to 12,000 words rewritten (since the beginning of the month) including adding about 1,000 words. Plenty of time later today to keep going.

And Prachett was a lot more productive over his writing life.
We all have our systems. Mine is, when I reach 1,000 words I should stop. I break this rule sometimes, but I usually regret it

1300 words yesterday and the words just FLOWED. Finally! (It was a fight scene, so that helped a lot.)

I keep thinking I'm within two or three days of being done, then I finish writing and look at the story, and realize I'm still 2 or three days from being finished.
I'm writing between 700 and 1,000 words a day, the WIP stands at 35,000. I've mapped out what comes next, and I like it quite a lot. It's not a lot. But it's very much the movie optical illusion trope, the hall just stretches out further and further, without affecting the structure of the thing. I'm kind of shocked I haven't finished yet.

It sounds very Alice in Wonderland. maybe it's becasue you realise scenes you've pencilled in with telling need to be expanded with showing. That's where I am with Feck. That and finally getting rid of all the dead wood that is left over from the first draft means my word count keeps shrinking and growing and shrinking like Alice.

So with the aid of the lovely Lyse I have rewritten the first 10k of "EquiVox" The plot and motivations have been outlined more clearly and finally there isnt an extraneous word or sentence. At least to my jaundiced eye. Now the synopsis which Tramp Press allows to be as long as THREE 3 THREE pages and the dreaded cover letter. If the deed be done, it's best it be done quickly. Like before closing office hours today. Then I have to decide if I continue to rewrite this book or start on One Magic Summer.
