I just had another one today too. Very short and to the point so I’m guessing they really didn’t like it!!
It'll be just a form rejection. It's the most common since they're so busy. Keep going. Remember each agent gets 300-500 submissions a month and probably only takes on 5 or 6 a year. Even brilliant work finds it tough to get in.

I’ve got a story called ‘My Sister’s Boyfriends’. I was told I didn’t establish the narrator’s goals clearly and said too much about other people - almost as if the story were about his sister and her friends, apparently.
