What are Ream Raids?

Ream Raids are a fantastic opportunity for authors to showcase their books to a wider audience. During a one-week period, participating authors will set their books to be free or available for followers on Ream. This promotion aims to help you gain more visibility and followers for your works.



Promotion Details

• Dates: October 24–31, 2025
• Sign-up Deadline: October 17, 2025
• Set books to free (public or followers) by: 12:00 a.m. (midnight) on October 23, 2025
• Theme: Halloween, spooky, dark, thrilling
• Sponsor: ReamStories.com
• Books featured in this promotion will be displayed in Shelves on: Ream (There will be one shelf with ALL Raid books, plus genre-specific shelves.)
• Shelves featured in this promotion will also be found on: Ream Raid | Ream (This page is currently private, but will be live the night before Raid begins.)

Requirements

• Your submitted stories MUST BE on Ream.
• You may only submit one ebook, (and/or) one comic, (and/or) one audiobook per Ream page. (For example, you can submit one ebook AND one audiobook per Ream page, but not two ebooks. Your audiobook or comic submission does not have to be the same title as the ebook.)
• You may submit a collection of short stories, but you may not submit samples or a collection of samples of your other works.
• You may submit ongoing works, IF you set all chapters in the ongoing work to public or followers.
• ALL chapters in your book MUST be set to PUBLIC or FOLLOWERS during the promotional period. If your entire book is not set to PUBLIC or FOLLOWERS during the promotional period, you will be removed from the Raid and banned from future Ream Raids.
• Please set your submitted stories to free by midnight October 23, 2025, to give our team time to verify all books are free for readers.

This is an interesting initiative. Are you going to do it? I wonder if this is something that needs to be disclosed when submitting to other places? I’ll be curious to browse it when it’s all up.

I have been going back and forth, but I think I will since I am reaching the fish or cut bait stage of self publishing. I need to learn what direction to take to market my books.

It sounds like it could be a good experiment. If I had my 1st book ready for publishing (edited, cover, typeset, etc), I'd do it.
