Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.
This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.
Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…
We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Thanks, Rachel. Lots of great ideasThe book Cinder was really popular last decade. What if you tried to resonate with that YA title? Help you get traction?
maybe, Cinder Burns, Cinder's Revenge, Cinder's Ember, Cinder's Fire, Cinder's Trigger, Cinder Ignites? you see where I'm going...
Just a thought...
NiceBurnt to Cinders
Midnight Cinders? What about introducing something more Cinderella-esk? Glass slippers, fairy godmother, stroke of midnight? I thought at first it was a straight out steamy romance with titles like "Fire That Consumes Me" and such. haha.
Not sure if any of these elements are in your version, but for example, "Burning Cinders at the Stroke of Midnight." (But better)
Nice. I've added to the poll. How about a Shakespeare quote?
The Cinders of my Spirit
It’s said by Cleopatra, a woman who refused to play by rules laid down by the tyrant men in her life.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could vote for your favourite title in the above poll. The book is loosely based on Cinderella. This supernatural thriller infuses an Angela Carter-esque twist. Supported by her unconventional godmother, the Cinderella character strives for justice against her violent stepfamily, whom she holds responsible for her mother's death in a fiery incident.
Many thanks,
Rachael
Just "Cinders".
Thanks, that’s also my favourite. It is an old thread and I’ve pretty much decided on that one, but I’ve put it all on hold because of my PhD.I'll always remember that Burning Cinders was the first thing I ever read on Litopia. It's a great title.
This looks like an old thread. Are you still deliberating?
