• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Being pretty new to Litopia, I’m still finding my way around and I’ve spent some of the weekend tinkering with the author platform. I then created an update but I didn’t realise at first that it was going to be public. I then cottoned on that the articles at the top of the colony page were in fact the updates and deleted it, or so I thought. Sorry for being slow of brain and basically computer illiterate.

Hi Clare,

The Author Platform is pretty new to all of us. It's a recent development, so it's great that you're getting in near the start. The updates started life as a shared blog and now it's so much more.
@mickleinapickle should be able to point you in the right direction for all things blog or @AgentPete for problems with the Platform itself

Hey Clare!
The platform is still in "beta" and this is exactly why:)
What I intended when creating that system was for Updates to Indeed stay non-public untill you're ready for your platform to go public. NB other Full Members will see your posts, but others won't.
Looks like you've just found an exception to that! So thank you, and I will update the code.
