• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

I’m pleased to say that @Jason L. has kindly offered to become our “Blogmeister”. I’m not quite sure why I chose that name, but in a strange kind of way, it seems right.

He will be responsible for scheduling the blog posts that Litopians make so they appear at well-timed intervals.

This is to everyone’s advantage. Currently, if you hit “Publish” and someone else also publishes at more or less the same time, the posts will be fighting against each other for attention. By spacing them out, we’ll all get more eyeballs.

To reflect this, you will no longer see a “Publish” button on the blog edit page, but rather “Submit for Review”. Please rest assured that we’re not now censoring your posts, this simply adds your post to the queue for scheduling.

Thank you, Jason, for offering. :) p.

PS... J also has a rather nifty new icon under his name... see it?
