• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Literary agent Juliet Mushens has lots of experience of the book world, having worked for the PDF and UTA agencies.

This year, she's founded her own with Robert Caskie. Called Caskie Mushens, they're looking for submissions. I'll be querying them as Juliet likes crime and thriller novels. Juliet is an active Twitter user, so it's worth checking her current likes and dislikes.

Ah, another one for the list! :-) Thank you.

And @Paul Whybrow I agree, I have come across a few who don't accept e-mail. I suspect they do it deliberately to deter authors because they're not actually looking for clients but at the same time if someone is really keen to work with them they'll pay the postage. I have to admit I cross such agencies off my list and don't bother with them.
