• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Thanks folks,

Reading @Emily 's poem, along with the prompt, triggered off a long distant memory about being with my own dad many years ago beside a beautiful fast-flowing wild river in Donegal (north-west coast of Ireland).

The foaming salmon leaps and falls of dark peaty water would every so often open out into large smooth mirrored pools where we would skim stones.
