• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

The Daily Mail and Penguin Random House have combined forces to run a competition to find a new literary talent.

There are a few slightly irritating conditions, including the entry must be a hard copy and the author can't have published a novel in any format before, including self-published and ebook. There's no upper age limit, though you have to be at least 16.

The winner will be taken on by literary agent Luigi Bonomi. For those with a WIP, they only need the first 5,000 words and a 600 word synopsis to make the entry. The closing date is April 16th, and the manuscript must be completed by October 30th.

It's free to enter—so why not?!

Your chance to become a bestselling novelist!

Thanks for putting this up Paul. :)
Will definitely be entering. The small hassle of printing and posting is well worth it.
