Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.
This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.
Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…
We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Replace the book with a lap top (on the screen: a fresh doc, saying Chapter 1), and you have my day nailed.
I'm afraid not here. We have talked about it, but reality is none of us owns much (any?) formal clothing, and all of the nice clothes we have are packed away for the duration of our stay in the shed. Hubby is putting on normal work clothes before he goes to the 'office' on weekdays, though. Because I make all my own clothes, I'm loathe to wear the nice things when I don't need to, lest I wear them out too quickly. The worst thing is to suddenly realise you don't have appropriate clothes for an occasion and have only 24 hours to make something (well, okay, it's not the worst thing, but ...).Are the Kiwi members of the Colony indulging in Formal Fridays?

Pictures please!
LOL! We've been foraging for porcini (because luckily it's that time of year here)--eating like royalty!
make all my own clothes,
Yeah, this is my poor daughter. Her senior year of high school is likely to be almost entirely via Microsoft Teams. The school year here runs Feb to Dec, so they only got 6 weeks of real school before lockdown...
