No Muses for all the many genres. I think you'd need to go with the spirit, mood or voice of your work. Your story about the Family Man...well that could (arguably?) be Melpomene.


In fairness to the classical ancients, the art form of the novel was not yet invented.

That Leda was a princess of Sparta. but interesting to read that a swan was a Greek symbol for the Muses.

Well my understanding is Ceridwen (the goddess) covers poetry and possibly fantasy, certainly feels like it to me.
