Never heard of this! Although, I'm glad I didn't have it done; both my parents are from *tall* families (my uncles on one side are all 6'3-6'5) and I was assured all my childhood I would, indeed, one day grow.

I didn't. Those well-meaning individuals forgot to mention the errant hobbit gene that lies dormant and strikes at random
