• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Love it. Filling out all those forms and options... Forgetting to add yourself as the author.... Then finally you're done and....

Wait... Reviewing.... Publishing.... Arrgh.

Anyway. I did it again. My follow up to Roko's Basilisk will be online shortly.

Roko's Labyrinth.

(Both books are about the rise of super intelligent thinking machines and the effects they will have on us. Especially the lucky guy who has to sweat the details before hitting go. Summoning your own savior is not for the faint of heart.)

Yay. Phew.

Now onto Roko's Catalyst... A frozen world of dogsleds, freezing and thawing oceans, and a rogue AI that will kill or save us all.

If anyone is interested in either of the first two lemme know, happy to send along a mobi or pdf.

Congratulations and ever onward! It sounds as if you're enjoying the journey, as fraught as it may be.

Thanks. And now back to writing the next part. Never ends.
