• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

See, if I don't listen to music, I'm serenaded every 5 minutes by "MOMMY CAN I HAVE A SNACK I'M SOOOOOOO HUNGRY" or "OH MAN I JUST WENT POOP AND IT LOOKS LIKE POPCORN COME SEE COME SEE COME SEE COME SEE."
Not to self: Thank goodness I have no kids. Dogs are very accommodating once you've tired them out.

Dead Sea Apes have soundtracked a good proportion of mine, esp this album:

(Their own description of their sound is pretty delightful... "range(s) from ambient cloud to massive crunch via elliptical extended rhythms and creeping effects, all shot through with a hovering ominous presence.")

@StaceyDale and @DianeF Music for Kilatra? And for a heroine with lupus?
