Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.
This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.
Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…
We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

The first two rules of Galveston?
Sorry, via @NWilson31 on Twitter, "no horror movies have been made abt Galveston bc it's the same as fight club. Rule #1 don't talk about the horrors of Galveston"
Oh — you fielded that one. Very well! It's like fight club. The first rule about Galveston is you don't talk about the horrors of Galveston.![]()
It got me through a rough spot, watching that at least once a day for months — I quote it way too often...Oh, OK! Sorry, I'm a bit dim today.
I did see Fight Club - should have picked up on the allusion.

Ooh, we're doing that! Life-changing movie time!
Fight Club
The Fountain
I would like to add Watchmen, The Last Samurai, and Casino Royale, but I wouldn't call them life altering. Just all-time favorites, I guess.

I'm quite partial to some Asian martial arts type films, like House of Flying Daggers and Curse of the Golden Flower. Visually stunning backdrops and locations.
