LiNoWriMo Mid year LiNoWriMo anyone?

For those of you who remember back to November last year, we did ran a pretty successful Litopia NaNoWriMo for national novel writing month. Is anyone keen for a mid-year event?

Sounds good Nikki. I've been distracted for the last month - haying and horse husbandry and stuff like that there. I'd like something to get me focused back on the book I need to rewrite.

Nikky! Just what i need right now, to write now. I need to do a full third rewrite, and have been putting it off because, you know, lotta stuff on YouTube that needs time wasted on it.
I looked last night and thought, i am gonna set a deadline for completion. I think July 31 works as well as any. Long answer.
Short one: I'm in!

Signed up fine. But is it necessary for LiNoWriMo?

I'm pretty useless with apps like this. I've tried task tracking apps before and let them slide as being more of a chore than the thing I'm trying to do.

You might be able to convinced me otherwise, but If I've got to log on to another app, I'm more likely to end up forgetting it and just get on with writing.

Ah I didn't do it before, and haven't done Nano so am not in the know.
What's with the tracking? And how do you track when you're editing?

Just like in weight watcher weighing in. Helps keep some of us accountable. If it doesn't work for you-not necessary. I was able to sign up for the link. This starts July1?

You should be able to set a different goal and measure and track that. For editing it could be chapters, words, scenes, or lines edited—or time. There should be a tab that says "My Participation" that allows you to edit what your goal is.




Once you set your goal, the leaderboard will track your percentage towards your individual goal alongside everyone else.
