I agree. And this strange business of being paid in tokens... I'm certainly not going to rush into anything with them.A few concerns/questions...
1. I don't see anything about a submissions process or editing. It's difficult to tell, but I think they are simply one more place to upload a book for sale, like Amazon, Smashwords, etc.
2. The flow chart showing the "royalties" is a bit confusing. Well, more than a bit, actually.
3. They're brand new. And there are already plenty of third party vendors where authors can upload their book for sale without paying the platform one red cent in royalties.
I'd wait a bit and see what develops with them before sending them a book. After all, literally anyone can upload a book to Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, or Kobo, and it will be for sale within hours. You can also offer it in print through a few of those vendors. AND, you keep all your profits.If that's all Authorship is offering, they'd have to do something really unique for the author before I'd hand them part of my profits.
Either that or I'm missing something.![]()
