• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Love the title! There is an art and science to titles that few except writers appreciate. So, I'll wager you're a speculative fiction guy. Magic realism, myself — the conjoined twin of sci-fi.

I am actually very interested in your book. But to protect your copyright and intellectual property, we have a section devoted to critiquing works like this, which is only available after members have contributed for a while and proven themselves trustworthy, as much as is possible on any online forum. Take a look around — join in any conversation, get to know everyone, have some cake (I think it's one of those when you believe it you'll see it things), and you'll be admitted into the Houses in no time, where you'll receive advice and criticism from people you'll have come to know and respect!

And I'm likewise glad for you to be here, Roy.

Thanks all for the kind welcome.
I am amazed at the responses, so thank you very much.
Not sure how to get in to the critique section, but I will do my best. You will have to bear with me, as at 83 computers are not my forte, however I can call upon some help from a mate.
