Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.
This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.
Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…
We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

This year my first assignment for my writing students was to write about themselves (which, of course they all groaned at, it being the beginning of the school year when EVERYTHING is about profiling themselves), BUT the only true thing they were allowed to include was their name, and the title had to be SuperMe. Best start of the year assignment ever. They loved it!View attachment 5609
What was the worst topic a teacher has ever given you at school?
Actually, I recall having an amazing topic similar to this. It was about writing about our utopian world. I had fun writing about it. My teacher said it could be the epilog to some story. I'll consider that... I still have it.This year my first assignment for my writing students was to write about themselves (which, of course, they all groaned at, it being the beginning of the school year when EVERYTHING is about profiling themselves), BUT the only true thing they were allowed to include was their name, and the title had to be SuperMe.
