• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

I feel so guilty sitting here in a non-socially-distanced cafe having a coffee, no masks required, no hand sanitiser at the door. We may be cut off from the rest of the world, but in our lovely shaky isles life is back to covid-free normality.
Don't feel guilty, enjoy every second

A very great friend of mine who lived til she was almost 100 told me the cure is to sting yourself liberally with nettles, as soon as they appear in spring. Do that once a week until the end of autumn. Apparently this would makes your immune system concentrate on nettles and forget about the pollen... :)
