• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Interesting article, and I agree with it, for the most part. Especially using Brave New World as an example of literary fiction. And she's right about those of us who write genre fiction. I have more restrictions in what I write than I can keep track of most days. Unfortunately, it's also why what I write is so often termed formulaic. And when I try to break away from that formula and throw in some pretty cool stuff (cool in my mind, anyway) a few of my readers scratch their heads and go HUH? LOL!! Maybe one day I'll put on my big girl panties and write a novel that doesn't follow any genre rules. ;)
