• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

    • Don't give offence

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

had to look up the had hads. Ha. That's a nasty little puzzle.
The ands . . . .
The puppeteer arrived back moments too late. Staring at his booth, he wished he'd hired a professional rather than his mate and his paintbrush.
"I wrote the exact words you told me," his mate said.
"Yeah? So it's my fault for not spelling out spaces were needed between Punch and and and and and Judy?"

Here's another fun one to say and work out (also, a famous logic proof):

That that is, is. That that is not, is not. Is that it? It is.
That that is, is that that is. Not is not. Is that it? It is.
That that is, is that that is not. Is not "is that" it? It is.
