Most of us have problems fitting a writing conference into our schedules. But, if you have a completed novel it is definitely worth going to a conference with pitch sessions. Agents who would otherwise turn you down will not only listen to a pitch but may sign you on. In some cases, agents who have previously turned down a writer will decide to offer representation after hearing a pitch. Conferences are also a great way to connect with other writers, and be inspired!!

Thanks for posting Erica. Alas, I am across the pond in the UK and can't attend any on the list. :(

I did get to go to the Greenwich Book Festival a few weeks back though - nice lively buzz in the grandly historic setting of the Royal Navel College right besides the River Thames.
