Just to bring everyone up to speed with our move (the physical one, the Colony will be moving servers quite soon too).

The mini-move happens tomorrow when I go from Baker St to Warminster in a Luton van with various bits of stuff, most notably about 30 fish. Then the main move starts next Tuesday when two trucks turn up here and move everything else.

We won’t really be settled in for a couple of weeks at least, the biggest (as yet unresolved) challenge being internet access. I went down there last week to let an Openreach engineer in to install one line, but it’s not yet functional since Openreach are on strike (who isn't?). When I get the chance to test it, I suspect it’s not going to be fast enough, so I’ve pre-emptively ordered a second line with the intention of bonding them both together. This is all new tech to me, fingers crossed that it will work OK.

Pop-Ups on October 23rd is definitely cancelled. For the moment, everything else (Huddles, subsequent Pop-Ups) are provisionally confirmed, providing I can get decent access installed in a timely manner.

So now you know as much as I do :)

I’m focusing 100% on the move now, but will be popping in here at least once a day.

No cats :)
All the fish will have their own bags. It's not oxygen that's the problem, its CO2 buildup. But with a fairly short journey, <3 hrs, it ought not to be a problem. Packing extra courgettes, they're vegan fish and love 'em!
You know, if instead of plastic bags you had 30 water filled plastic balls, the fish could roll to Warminster on their own. That would fit nicely with the UFO-lore

I have never heard of that as an option for boosting bandwidth. Can you explain?

Just think how wonderful it'll be when those trucks get there, boxes unloaded, and you have everything in your new home. Ok, you won't know where anything is, but you'll have your fish in their tank and a bottle of red wine to share with Peggy. And if you can't find the wine glasses, you can drink from the bottle.

Best of luck. I wish I could have suggested you get the smaller boxes for the books. The ones I saw in the background are going to be very heavy. Arnica for sore muscles. Best go with scotch for after. You can drink it out of toothpaste glasses. And then there's all that branch water to go with.
