• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

I saw this cartoon on the Narrative website, and it struck me that it sums up where writers go when they zone out to imagine and create.

This rings true for me too. I've been living in my head for a long time (recluse, shy, introverted behaviour) that writing helps connect me to the world and I also have started to walk a lot too. I make conscious effort to go out more. I still make baby steps but this comic may seem funny but it really has a twist of truth for some of us.
