• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

I found this tweet today from Agent Jessica Sinsheimer.

Jessica Sinsheimer @jsinsheim

Most authors miss this when pitching their books--or don't even know it's an option! Here's how to present your project's selling points in a way agents will love, from literary agent and book publicist @DAWNMICHELLEPR: vimeo.com/316694321 @MSWLMA

After which I came up with this selling point for my novel on nuns. Here it is:

“This novel should appeal to the 2.19 billion Christians in the world, and in particular to the 1.2 billion who are Catholics because it deals with a fundamental aspect of faith namely: does God in effect speak to his elect as claimed, so should others therefore obey?”

What do you think?

Have you discovered your selling point?

To make your plight easier, if you listen to the video, you’ll see it’s all to do with figures and the dollar sign.
