• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

The forum home page default view has reverted to most recent posts after some work behind the scenes, explained here. There’s still a lot more work to do, so expect to see the main page flip and flop a bit more for the next few days.

So far, the “Welcome” forum has now been incorporated into Cafe Life. New members will therefore post into CL rather than a separate forum. They will be using the “Welcome! I’m New Here” prefix to their posts, so whenever you see one of these, please give them a nice warm welcome.

The available prefixes in CL have been pruned.

A reminder that you can easily sort by prefix. There are two ways to do this: first, simply click on the prefix itself in the forum view, e.g. clicking on the “Blog Post” prefix as circled below:

... will show you all those threads with the "Blog Post" prefix.

You can also click on the “Filters” button on the top right of the forum view which will give you even more control over which threads and posts to see.
