Trends in MG and YA at Bologna

Middle Grade, and YA is Young Adult. MG is a US term that broadly equates to the 9-12 age group in UK speak. :-)
 
Came across this article in Publishers Weekly - Agents and Scouts discussing the trends they are observing at this years Bologna Children's Book fair.

Should be of interest to those of you writing YA ans MG but of course, remember that next year the picture could be very different.

I would be interested to know if @AgentPete has a view on all this?

Those "trends" only reflect buying/selling amongst publishing folk. In other words, hopes or guesses. They may be right, they may be wrong - the market will decide.
