A very good (if over-long) article here about sales of conventionally published fiction. If you get published, what kind of sales numbers can you expect, what about money and other interesting stuff.

Of course, not everyone's in it for the sales... but they don't do any harm.

It is a shame, though some of its info in a very summary form in the US can be obtained from Amazon's US Author Central.

RWA posts Nielsen BookScan info. I imagine other writing organizations also published the info if RWA isn't your thing.
