• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

The Great Litopia YuleWrite Huddle Party

It’s time to wrap up a weird sort of year year with something… well, maybe even weirder…!

We’re hosting an extended, fully festive Christmas Huddle packed with writer-friendly games, puzzles, brain-twisters and a generous dose of creative mischief. Expect favourites such as The Ant Game, The Consonant Gardener, Rebuses, Ditloids, Mondegreens… and a few surprises too.

If you have a favourite game that you’d like to suggest, don’t hesitate to drop AgentPete a note.

And because it’s Christmas, every member of Litopia is wholeheartedly welcome – Full Members or basic Colony Members – do come along and join the fun. This is your chance to meet the community face-to-face, test your wits, show off your word-nerdery, and enjoy a relaxed, laughter-heavy end-of-year gathering.

Date & Time: December 20th - 5.00pm UK time (GMT)

This sounds amazing fun and i am hoping to attend for at least part of it, if not the whole shebang. It's my birthday, and my son and his gf are visiting (YAY!), but as far as i know all our plans are daytime rather than evening. So, that and childcare notwithstanding, do count me in as a hopeful!
