• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

My MC goes running here.

I want to go!

He gets his car keyed at the bottom. I'll pass on that,

Those earthworks at the top are an iron age fort. There's a spring that supplies a bottling plant nowadays. The tribespeople who built the fort, the Dubonii, are thought to be the people who dragged the blue stone from Wales to build Stonehenge. This is where they scrambled for safety when the aggro-boy Silures attacked.

Hillforts are their own little story, then combine that with dragging stones to Stonehenge, double wow ;)
