• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

    • Don't give offence

Hello there,

My name is Silver or you can call me Celeste. I have loved writing (and reading!) ever since I was a young child. In December 2024, I published my first book: a poetry chapbook with 18 poems. Now, I'm working on a few stories including a four-part pulp fantasy adventure and a supernatural mystery short story for which I'll be looking for serious critiquers. Oh, and I have an MFA in creative writing.

Looking forward to seeing you around!

Hi Silver,

Welcome to Litopia.

I'm pleased to see you've already signed up to the Directory of Critters!

I hope you're finding your way around.

Any questions, just ask. Someone will know the answer.

Nice to meet you,
Rachel:)

Welcome Silver!
Great to have you on board.
My advice to everyone here is to check in on the Lab read through a couple threads and see if there's anything that interests you. If there is, try dropping a critique or several. It's amazing how much clarity we get on our own work by critiquing others.
This is also where you'll eventually want to post something in order to get a few reads and some advice.
But, mostly, welcome, and enjoy.
Matt
