• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Kathy H here from the UK.
Love reading horror, crime, scary stuff, nothing mushy. Wrote twist in the tail stories at first. Thirty years on have a ghost novel written. Still working on it. Be warned I have a TENSE problem - in that I get them wrong, frequently in the same paragraph. I'm a hard critiquer. Can't bring the same level to my own writing. Here to watch, interact and learn.

I don't think any writer can see/critique their own work with the clarity of an outsider - welcome, and enjoy.

Hi @KATHY H

Nice to see you and hope you enjoy what Litopia has to offer.

It’s extremely friendly round here so do feel free to get involved as soon as you’re ready.

Here's a good place to check out (How-to guide)to see a lot of what goes on in the colony.

If anything is unclear please contact me and I’ll be happy to assist if I can.

Greetings. It's hard to critique your own work, because you can picture it, feel it and carry your story around with you. All everyone else has to enable them to plunge into your story is 26 letters arranged into words on a page. We miss daft/vague/contradictory stuff in our own writing. Loads of stuff.
