I've just finished Love, Nina by Nina Stibbe....it's a memoir told in epistolary form and highly entertaining. Definitely recommended if you want a laugh.

Anyway, I also found this article from The Guardian about how Nina Stibbe had been writing fiction for decades before the memoir came out, but had struggled to find her "voice". It's something we often discuss in the Huddles or on Pop-Up Submissions, or in various threads. A "voice" is very hard to nail down, but if you can, it's a lot easier to hook an agent and a publishing deal. Or so we're told!

Maybe — like Nina Stibbe — you had your voice all along, but you didn't realise....

Off now to add Love, Nina to my reading list. Sounds like it right up my strasse. Love the description of the poets - especially Heaney.
