Incidentally, I'm in the middle of writing Portent in the Planets and Iblis the Shaitan is featured as a character. And... well, promise you guys won't be mad, but...

Well, since I don't understand women at all (I'd rather have a root canal than go shopping, I would NEVER ask a friend to help me organise my closets, and I consider my personal grooming a private affair), I have to make all my female characters somewhat like me. I couldn't possibly create a believable female character that wasn't in some way quirky.

You and I sound like kindred spirits. I don't mind shopping but only up to 30 minutes. Anything longer and I'm done. Most of my main female characters are the same way.

Mine is more what I would like to be. I am tall and shy (in person) but my MC is shorter and outgoing, but can be embarrassed easy, which is like me.

On some levels we always craft a character we would like to be. It's how superheroes came about in the first place!
