My old cat Pushkin (after the Russian poet) used to love laying on my laptop keyboard, more for the warmth, I think, than attention-seeking.

There
There are of course also some authors who would benefit from a laptop like this...

Lol both of your cats look so done! Mine just doesn't care. Won't even acknowledge me.

Haha, Toby (might change to Stewie on account of the evil) spends most of his time going super-sayian on Izzy, who spends most of his time either pinning Toby down with a colossal paw on his chest, or sitting there with a look like this trying to ignore him.

At this point Toby was in the middle of a brutal fight with Izzy's tail.

My cat doesn't really climb on me anymore, not since I first got him. He prefers to irritate my hubby by walking over his keyboard.
Always the best circumstances ain't it :) Except when hubby develops an allergic reaction to them :(

I have two cats. Both love me, but one is naturally gentle and shy. The other evinces wicked behavior to everyone but me. In fact, just a few minutes ago he walked up to my husband, sat down beside him, and bit him. For no reason.

But, like I said, the cat loves me, so he stays.

Yep. Ours does that to everyone. Lulls you into a sense of security by rubbing up against you, then tries to eviscerate you. We keep him because I expect we're all infected with Toxoplasma, so we can't help ourselves. We've been reprogrammed as cat slaves. ;)

I have two as well. One loves me (well, he loves attention; I just happen to be the one who gives him the most), the other sort of tolerates me. He's nipped me on my heel for no reason many times, but that mostly stopped when we got kitty #2. Guess he's tired from fighting the spunky one all day.

Oh, no, Nicole! You're not going to get me with that one! I've heard that before--get a second cat so the first has someone to play with. Yeah, nice try. ;)
The first cat isn't much of a player; he just kind of lounges around, but the new one is so active (read: psycho) and he encourages (read: bullies) the big one into playing, so kitty #1 is always tired. Makes my job easier :)

We had a stray here once--little fluffy tabby kitten someone must have dumped along the road. The Malevolent Beast from Hell was very tolerant of her for about a week, then we had to capture her and take her to the SPCA for her own safety. MBfH was going to end up killing her, for sure! Unless we got a second cat as evil as the first, I think we'd always end up with just one cat.

Malevolent Beast from Hell... lol reminds me of Stephen King's Thing of Evil (his dog, Molly). We thought the same thing about our two cats, but the little one takes no crap from the big one, so the big one just holds a mild distaste for everyone involved.
