• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hello Everyone...

I am wondering if any self-pub authors in the UK could advise on some successful/cost-effective marketing platforms available to indie authors. I recently published 2 audiobooks and each one has 25 free codes for Audible UK. I would like to find some platform where I could potentially distribute them/invite folks to request them.

I paid for a NetGalley listing in the U.S. to gather reviewer contact info, but I read that service isn't utilized as much in the UK. I've done the Google search and found some places but of course, have no idea if any of them are worth using so thought I would see if anyone here has recommendations.

Thanks in advance for any response/help!

You could try BookBub https://www.bookbub.com/ where you can sign up for a free account and subscribers receive daily emails with offers. I'm a member, but only as a reader at present, but my experience with them is great. The deals I receive are for free books as well a those at low prices, I haven't signed up for audio books, but I believe BookBub do those offers also. Writers/publishers can also sign up for free (I believe) to offer their books, but I don't know what the cost, if any, that might be.
