• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Huge buzz about this all over the media this past week.

Debut novel. A No.1 smash across all charts before release (tomorrow)

Movie rights acquired by someone called Spielberg (must look him up and see if he's done anything)

I do like Richard Osman and this sounds like a really great yarn. Well done!

Richard Osman - The Thursday Murder Club

P.S. I'm not remotely jealous either... :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

I'm not into celebs being handed out book deals left right and centre simply because of who they are. This is a notable (but not an only) exception. Glad it's not all grimy cash-ins - just mostly...;)

RO is charming, witty and real brainbox too. He's obviously got the writing chops to carry this off with aplomb, and with the plaudits heaped upon it already it seems to be very much the real deal. Two more books will follow with the same characters as part of the original deal.

I will get it on Audible to use one of my credits and I'm really looking forward to listening.

Lesley Manville is narrating and she's great too.
