• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

I got this free on Audible and I'm sharing because I had quite a few "AHA's" from it. He comes from a script writing background and uses a lot of films as examples to illustrate what he's saying but that works for me. I think the modern commercial style is one that needs to translate easily to film.

I mean it's always subjective, but this is where I got the image of the poor reader being on a plane then finding out their seat mate is the boring uncle from Derry Girls. This has remarkably concentrated my exposition.
