• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Old VCR tapes had no value ten years ago. Now collectors trade them. Even home videos provide a record of daily life in the way letters used to. Because when was the last time you got a letter?

My beef with my Mac laptop is I am being g herded towards having everything on iCloud. One global power surge and POOF! all my photos, all my memories are gone. The MBA bean counters are making decisions based on a future where the electricity needs of iCloud grows exponentially. With no question about whether that is the best future possible.
