Old VCR tapes had no value ten years ago. Now collectors trade them. Even home videos provide a record of daily life in the way letters used to. Because when was the last time you got a letter?
My beef with my Mac laptop is I am being g herded towards having everything on iCloud. One global power surge and POOF! all my photos, all my memories are gone. The MBA bean counters are making decisions based on a future where the electricity needs of iCloud grows exponentially. With no question about whether that is the best future possible.
