I do think though that response to a perceived "failure" can make a big difference in how a person moves forward. But yeah, "average" vs "achieving" is a pretty below average comparison.

Paul, I do really enjoy these! Agree or not, they are all interesting food for thought and discussion. :)
 
There's no such thing as an average person, and achievement depends on the way you measure it.
Absolutely. The most worthless person I ever knew – and I wasn't alone in thinking that – was always convinced that everything, and especially his part in it, was going to be a wonderful success. Alas, not so. Always.
