• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Good advice, but wishing isn't enough, you have to work to be better. 10,000 hours (Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell). That's about 1250 x 8hr days. Roughly 250 working weeks=5 years-ish. Maybe too late for me and writing but I'll use whatever time I have left. Of course, if one is brilliant then it's different, but I wouldn't know about that. Somehow I think that 10,000 hours is a bit low in this game.
