• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

We now have a marketplace area here called, er, The Marketplace.

This is for all members, basic or Patron, to use. You can advertise anything here, within the bounds of legality and decency!

Obviously, it’s ideal for promoting your books. You can link straight through to Amazon, or wherever else your work is sold.

But you can also use the Marketplace to promote anything else commercial – for example, craftwork, services, or grout injection.

We don’t take a commission. But – if you haven’t done already – please do upgrade your membership to full.
---
And PS… the most recent items on sale in The Marketplace also get automatically featured on our home page, too. So choose your headline carefully!
