• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hello
I've received a lot of really useful feedback for my first thread in the lab. I think I have enough to be thinking about now, so would prefer to add a revised version of the chapter before asking for more feedback. I've got the option to 'Delete thread' but it seems quite dramatic. Would this mean anyone who's read the chapter but not yet posted a response will be unable to access the thread to do that? Or not be able to see my reply to someone's feedback.
The thread was only started on Saturday, and I can see a lot of threads are posted for much longer, but I suspect anyone providing feedback now will be largely repeating points already made, which seems a bit unfair on other people's time.
Thanks,
Andy.

You don't have to delete the thread if you don't want to. It's good to be able to refer back to old comments sometimes.

It's probably worth starting a new thread with your next version, although that's up to you.

You can delete your attachments if you don't want anyone to read your old versions.

I can lock the thread for you if you want me to; that means no one can reply to it, but the thread is still there. Let me know if you'd like me to do this.

Or you can simply leave it alone. You might get some more replies or it will gradually sink down the list. There are plenty of threads in the lab from ages ago. It's absolutely fine to leave it there if you want to.

Thanks Sedayne
I think I'll leave it as it is for now. I've made various notes based on the comments, so deleting the thread wouldn't be a problem in that regard.
Perhaps after a week or so of inactivity, I'll consider deleting.
Andy.
