• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

    • Don't give offence
    • Don't take offence

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Hmm...beneath, beneath, look the same to me. Under something. What am I missing?

Reminds me of a law school exam:

Paragraph One... blah, blah, blah.

Paragraph Two... same blah, blah, blah.

Question: What is the difference between the first and second paragraphs?

Hint (but from me, not from the professor) If you know about concept of case law, the answer is obvious.

It looks like Jason edited the initial post. I think it was "The Girl Who Fell Under the Sea" before he corrected it.

Hey, @Jason L! Here's a whacky suggestion, to take or leave as you see fit of course.

What do you think of pushing things a bit (or maybe just skipping January?) so that everyone has a chance to read this first book? I'm only half way through the book myself, and not sure I'll make it either... (btw I'm really enjoying it!)

If I read this for 29th (possible), the next two would need to shunt along as well because I just can't read that fast (and I need to write too). I'm fine with giving this a miss (though I will eventually read it) and give myself a chance to read the next two in time for their slots.

Yes, I was also thinking it might be good to shunt along the dates a little, just to give us a chance to catch up a bit from holidays and what-not. But like Hannah, I'll go with the flow and join as I can. :nerd-face:
