Protect the Apostrophe!

John Richards, original champion of the much maligned apostrophe has died.

He founded the Apostrophe Protection Society in 2001. He disbanded it in 2019 citing his old age of 96, and admitting that “the barbarians had won” with their “ignorance and laziness.”

Bless him. But there have always been barbarians, and forever will be. You can't make people care and you can't polish a turd. He was always preaching to the converted.
