As has happened three times before, I've got the blues. Finishing my fourth novel, I should be feeling a sense of achievement, though that's been dulled by weeks of irksome editing.

It's not just that frustrating process which is causing my malaise, and I found an article that shows these blues have descended on writers throughout history.

I've got what is called postwritum depression.

Have any of you suffered from this condition?

Now, where did I put my guitar and harmonica? I feel a song coming on….

How interesting. I never knew that was a thing.

My cure is to start something new. Which is what I've just done. Also stops me thinking about being in the slushpile trenches :)
