• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Life is like a library owned by an author. In it are a few books which he wrote himself, but most of them were written for him.

Harry Emerson Fosdick

That's a little passive. Where's his agency in driving the plot of his life? No, some are written for him/her/them, but that should drive one to make decisions that affect the next book on the shelf.
I think his name sort of explains his attitude towards life. I mean if you were dubbed Harry Emerson Fosdick... I can see where you'd think most of your choices were already made for you.

And of course, life is like a library owned by a male author...
I don't know about you girls, but I've got a completely different library thing going on.
I remember reading a comment once that little girls dont want a prince charming-they want a library that you enter through a fire pole with a stable attached. So I wrote a story about that. I think little girls would like it-but agents? No.
