• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hi,

I've just rejoined Litopia. That's not newsworthy, I realise, but I thought I'd say hello and see if there's anybody still here I recognise. I was a member for several years, several years ago, and found lots of like-minded people who were interested in writing. I see writing as escapism, and while I know my talents in this arena might be considered limited, I do enjoy the freedom of the written word. I can go anywhere I want to, and if anyone wants to tag along, all the better.

I look forward to making some contribution.

Paul.

Thanks everyone. In answer to Paul's question, I tend to write things that would appeal to children, or anyone with a puerile sense of dark humour. I think I fail in that respect, but I do enjoy the process.

Hi Paul, welcome back, although I have only been here a few years so you won't know me from 'way back when'. It's nice to meet you.
